Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hi guys, im currently looking for a swb patrol diesel. ive got a few questions, is there anything to look for when inspecting the shorty. also how many km is getting too much on a 4.2 diesel engine. also is there anywhere to look for rust or signs of rust?

i bought a swb and it had a tiny bit of rust in the gutter and 6months later rust was every where but i think that is a gq thing.
