Gooda
I was wondering if anyone could help me im desperate need of some new seats!!! i own a SWB XLT Maverick and i think somewhere along the line someone very big owned it as the seats are flogged to buggery. I have tryed to track some down and have only found 1 wreckers with some in and they sound worse than mine and they want big $$$ I have thought of getting Aerotech seats in but have been told i have to use my base which is flogged out anyway so id love a good set to bolt in with everything. The other option i have is to rebuild the current ones but im not sure if they are worth it. As for other seats like pulsar ones or anything. Not sure what fits with minimum amount of work. Any advise or info on anyone selling seats would be excelent.

Thank sin advance

Chris

you say your base is flogged out?

You usually only use the bit that bolts to the floor on aftermarket seats. Then you get a adapter from the seat to that base part...

Other option is something from an Import from a Skyline etc... and pay to get them mounted in.. could be few 100

When I ordered my aerotech drivers seat I brought one of there seat bases as well. Think it was about $80, bit expensive for what it is, but it did mean I didn't have to think about it to much.

Think I paid about $870. It worked out alot more than there $569 show special. This was due to getting different back and base, lumber, map pocket and the seat base. Also they fitted, which required the moving of my compressor which was mounted under the seat. As one of the seat rails on the inside hit it. So that required 2 rubber plugs and the drilling of 2 holes.

This is there site.
Also as I used there base (mine was buggered) there was no engineering problems.

A milk crate would have been more comfy than mine. My old drivers seat had approx 350 000km on it and was very tired, the seat base had started to collapse. So this one was a big improvment.
I now get out of the car after along drive feel just as good as when I first got init (except I usuall need a piss - this has nothing to do with the seat though).
One thing I dont like sometimes is the fact that the seat does not sit centred in front of the steering wheel, it sits more to the drivers side. I dont know if all aftermarket seats are like this. It is just abit annoying .1% of the time.

I have had mine for nearly 90 000km now and I am happy.
Though I am thinking of moving it to the passenger side, and getting another seat for the drivers side. As I would like abit more side support on the back. The support bits next to your legs is fine as anymore and I reckon it would be a pain getting in and out.
