11.5" tyres on 7" rim???

Hi,

Has anyone ran 32x11.5x15 tyres on a 7 inch rim??

I know recommended is 8inch minimum, and a skinnier rim can cause sidewall shift on cornering.

This is for a zook, just wondering if anyone has done this, and what issues it may cause with handling etc.

I thought it may be more of a issue on heavier 4bys, but thinking it may be unnoticeable on a zook.

Most 33x12.5 should be on a 8.5 minimum, but most people run them on 8" rims.

Thanks
Jay

If you must have 11.5's you'll get away with a 7" rim
but
I think 11.5 is too wide for a Zook no matter what rims its running..

Yea i know its a bit wide, but i have a mate that works for goodyear, so wrangler mtr's for $100 a tyre is hard to refuse.

They only make a 33x12.5 and 32x11.5, i didnt want 31's

Putting them on a smaller rim should pull them in to around 10.5 wide, on an 8inch rim they measure approx 11inches wide.

thanks for the reply

Moving around opn the rim isn't really the problem as a Zook is so light.
The light weight of a Zook means the tyre doesn't 'bite' the surface it sort of floats across it instead.
Good on sand but bad on most other surfaces.
