Outer Limits 4x4 Board

i know this has probably been covered 100 times before. i done a search and searched the bible but couldnt find anything.

a mates gearbox in his 87 petrol lux has died on his way back to adelaide. (was supposedly rebuilt)
what i want to know is if the deisel box from roughly the same year will fit so i can run it up to him (he has one sitting at home).

i dont have any model no.s but could probably find out
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah it should fit fine , it should have g52 embossed on the side of both boxes then it should be fine. the only difference should be the bell housing so keep his original bell housing with your gearbox.

cheers Lukey, i done a bit more research and figured as much.
he ended up getting 4th and limped home so i didnt have to go out there in the end.
