Outer Limits 4x4 Board

over the weekend my GQ has decided to start making a clunking/knocking noise when hitting bumps and applying the brakes.

ive had a bit of a look and noticed theres possibly a bit of play in the front control arms rear bushes where it bolts onto the chassis infront of the gearbox. ive tried tightening it with a breaker bar and it just twists the entire control arm so it is tight.

just wondering if this would most likely be the cause? ive checked most the bolts etc in the front end.

I have the same problem everytime I go out wheelin.... and I got 3rds arms in with that stupid elbow type joint before the pin joint to the chassis.

My suggestion is to replace those bushes where it bolts to the chassis. If you have been out wheelin alot or havn't replaced them in ages, I'd say they have actually been chewed out on the inside of the bush.... it's sorta hard to explain but when you pull it out you'll see what I mean.

I have to do this after every time I go wheelin due to the 3rds arms continuously kinking at the elbow joint and cutting into the bush. I will be going with drop boxes and standard arms in the not too distant future too!!!

thanx mate, i only got it at the end of janruary and havent really done any real 4wding, it started when i was driving on main forestry roads.

ive asked my brother who works at a nissan dealership to get a price on the bushes for me and hopefully they have them instock so he can bring them down this weekend with him.
