Is 3" Backspacing too much?

Have an extra set of 15x8 with 3" Backspacing. I am thinking to put it on instead of the 15x8 with 4" Backspacing.
Truck will see highway miles and off-road in the Gulf.

Will 3" Backspacing be too much on the bearings and steerin components?

Thanks

I personally think yes as stock its 5 1/4" backspacing so with 35X12.5" tyres and backspacing of 3" you're adding a fair bit of leverage compared to stock. Plenty run them like that though or with 3.5" backspacing anyway.

Cheers

Yes with a 8" wheel and 3" Backspacing : Tyre is 5" out and 3" in from the center of the hub but plenty run 10" wheels with 4" Backspacing with puts tyre 6" outside and 4" inside.

Other run 2.5" backspacing. I think i will go with the 3" and see what happens.
That s a pic of the truck with the 4" BS wheels.
