getting bigger tyres

got 33's on my hilux 2.8 diesel 93 model thinking about going to 35's wondring how the car would go on and off road would it be worth gettin bigger tyes or not? pretty slow on the road as it is.

Changing the diff gears should make it driveable both on and off road.
The 2.8 was never quick anyway, so don't think it can be

as a rough calculation you'll lose the equivalent of about 18% of your engine power.
35's on a standard 2.8 is a bit yukky

I ran 35's on my 2.8L turbo lux. Swapped over to 4.88 diff gears. Needed to run wheel spacers as the front rubbed on the springs and rear hit the chasis when flexed up. Other than that it was great.

i am running 35's on my 2.8 hilux its not too bad
but I have that problem at the moment what size spacers did you run?

1/4 inch spacers all round on mine. Fronts dont touch the springs but the rears still rub on the chasis on full flex
