GU imobiliser help
so get home today after work and get told the GU wont start. when i hit the key lights come up,gas system etc gets power but theres nothing no starter motor just the silent clicking of the ignition relay. im thinking it might be the inobiliser.question is i see permenant 12v to imob,i see acc 12v going to imob but what are the 2 wires coming from imob,1x taps into green red wire (i think) under the fuse holder the other runs to the pass side where it taps into a green yellow wire...are these the points of imobilisation can i by pass it............thanks
have you checked you arent just to low on power? clicking sounds like a dead battery to me. will it jump start?
Immobilisers will normally stop something:
Fuel pump: will do everything else but not get fuel.
Starter solenoid: will not click or turn over but you could still roll start (this is the most dodgy ones)
Ignition: you turn the key and not much hapens at all, often not even dash lights (depends on system)
IM not an expert but it really sounds more like a dad battery than an immobiliser issue.
