just need to replace the drivers seat belt in my 82 60 series as it is frayed and wont pass inspection for rego as it is.
Does anyone know where to get a replacement seatbelt at a resonable price? tried my local toyota dealer and was told it would be around $360 dollars??? (lucky thats trade price!) i was also told they may not be available genuine anymore, and if it is it has to come from japan with a 3-6 week frieght time!
Are there any other options for me and where from? would 80 series front belts fit?
thanks in advance for your help

yeah repco could get 1 part of the belt but not the other!
i can borrow a belt to get it passed but i still want to replace the frayed belt for my own safety!

go the wreckers they should have heaps of them. The local 4x4 wrecker here has about 10 60's down the back so they shouldnt be to hard to find one even in the right colour (blue brown).

I can get new replacement belts to suit Klippan brand but will need to look up a price.

wreckers should have heaps
fraying in the 60 series is not at all common AFAIK.
mine has done 450thousand and not a sign of fraying so there has to be plenty of good ones at the wreckers.

Wreckers should have them, other cruiser ones might fit too, In the front of my middy i'm using one the the rear belts from the opposite side( due to the way the ratchets work)

yeah none of the wreckers will sell them over the counter, not even as an engine lift strap!

they are perfectly legal to sell as long as the vehicle has not been in an accident.

I'm fairly certain I'll have one at home for ya but currently in Darwin and won't be home for 3 weeks. Will keep an eye on the thread and if you haven't got one by the time I get home I'll have a look around for you.
Cheers, The Fish
