Lockrite rear locker into front diff!
Lockrite rear locker into front diff!
hey all
Ive got a widetrack sierra with a lockright auto locking centre fitted. What i am keen to know is if its possible to put the centre straight into the front of the car without changing anything apart from the locker itself? Will this work?
Are the front and rear widetrack centres identical? or different? Can i just swap the whole diff from front to rear?
thanks

cool - i mite get that sucker in the front then and see how it goes... and replace the axles when they pop or if need be!
it operated great in the rear off road, but i use the car to run down the shops etc instead of firing up the V8 SS as i hate doing short trips in it! so the front is probably a better option

tell me about it!fool_injected wrote: I am notoriously slow but I have got a pile of good parts in the garage
ive got cromo axles, locker, rear disco, power steer, bunch of steel for barwork etc etc sitting in my garage & no time to put it all together...
how do you plan on running 26 spline centres in the front with 22 spline standard axles mate? usually when people swap the rear centres in the front its because they have to due to upgrading axles (which have 26 spline like the standard rears)mick85 wrote:haha damnit!!!
so what have you got to install? i havent busted a stock axle yet so ill run them until i do
All the gear, No idea...

How many people running upgraded axles are carrying a spare set in case of breakage?Dee wrote:how do you plan on running 26 spline centres in the front with 22 spline standard axles mate? usually when people swap the rear centres in the front its because they have to due to upgrading axles (which have 26 spline like the standard rears)
I'm considering my options now.
