1HZ Timing Belt

Just did a search and looked for ages but cant find it!
How often does the timing belt need doing on a 1HZ?
100,000klms???

Rule of thumb for timing belts is 100000km, but I think the 1HZ maybe 150000km?

im pretty sure my 02 1HZ says 150K, but i'll be damned if im going for a walk up the hill in the cold to check that!

yeah i thought 100k.
i had to pull the waterpump off as it was leaking so while we were there did timing belt (that and i was about to drive from perth to newy solo)
great way to spend half a day replacing it.
big cheers to dewse and shane though.

my light came on at 300,000 so that may have been the 2nd or 3rd change, but i hurd they were every 100,000, dosnt take to long, prob took my 45 min tops

every 100k for a change. I heard somewhere along the lines that the newer 1hz's where every 150K

Yeah old will be 100K new ones 150K Don't know if 100 or 105 series went to 150K interval

My 00 79 is 150 000 by the book. I.ve have owned it since new now done 140 000 and no light yet. And yes it works!

When it's due i can pm you the info to reset the light on them took me a bit to figure out first one i did it's not a simple as the old ones unfortunatly just pm me when ya need it
