96 pajero fuel consumption - very bad

needed ways to reduce it please help ? 02 Sensor etc perhaps other issues?

I just did the O2 sensor in mine and it made a huge difference. I think the direct fit one is about $160 and the universal 4 wire was $70. Its not that hard to wire up.

When you say very bad, what do you mean. There are so many things that come in to play here. Wheel size, auto/manual, kms...

My NL paj(280, xxxkms, manual) with 35s on it gets about 20L/100km on the road, and thats a corrected reading with the size of the tyres factored in. I think mine is running like a pig, but I dont expect to ever really see below 15L/100 with these tyres.

:lol: I am all of a sudden happy with mine (33's manual) about 13L/100km on road

I would call 13 on 33's very good, NOT very bad...

Forgot to add that mine is a LWB so I might be lugging a bit of extra weight around to.

Lucky she is a weekend only car.
