no its not for anything suss

....... just wondering wether anyone knows where to get bulk lots i.e. more than 20lts to a 44(205lt) worth in brisbane. and what the rough current price per lt it is?
oh and it is related to 4x4 tec... as its for my one project

Its doable but usually need to prove why eg cams license
and yes im guessing its to make bio. so its 4x4 tech to me

It is worth normally around $270 for 205 litre drum.

VP Racing fuels, available from Rocket Industries. As far as I know with drag racing, ANDRA only requires a log book for leaded fuels only. However I could be wrong because I don't have a rule book here. CAMS may be different.
Just call Willowbank Raceway and see if there know any private fuel suppliers/dealers. They may not have a list but they should point you in the right direction.
I also think you can get it from Shell. Well, 5 yrs ago you could, worth a try too.

Should be getting close to the break even point now. Besides, alcohol burns cleaner anyway. Carbon deposits are almost nil, we found it actually cleaned out the old 383ci small block we had. Only downside is the exhaust fumes roast the eyeballs.

You will use two to three times as much methhanol as petrol to do the same job, is very hazardous and gells up with contact with moisture. Not the ideal thing to have in a car. It also burns with no flame, you know you are on fire but cant see it.

and don't forget changing your oil on a VERY regular basis.....you'd be lucky to last a week, depending on the motor and distances.

Methanol also destroys aluminium.
Any modern engine would need to be flushed with pertol to clean the fuel system and ensure no methanol sat in the cylinders.

You will also make more power, run more boost and have much cooler inlet temps!

not to mention carcinogenic and as mentioned uses alot more good for race cars and methanol injection

Some benifits.
Cooler engine running temps
More power
Cheaper than petrol
Cleaner burning
Mixes with water (fires are more easily suppressed)
Some negatives
Oil requires more regular changing (especially on worn engines)
More maintainance required in fuel delivery system
Rapid evaporation (fuel tank needs to be completely sealed when vehicle not in use)
Aluminium components (eg carbies) usually are hard anodised to cope with the alcohol.
Clear flame, backfires and exhaust fires are no fun (can talk from experience on that one)
Alcohol mixes with water, gells up with excesive moisture ****NOTE**** STORE DRUMS OFF GROUND, WILL SUCK MOISTURE THROUGH THE SLAB. GOOD WAY TO WASTE A BARREL OF METHANOL
Just a few pro's and con's. I know most of this are not relevant for you but the fire suppression and drum storage most certainly is.
