80 Series CLutch issue

Hi,
I just replaced the clutch slave and master cylinder on my 80 series !hdt
( the clutch system with no booster)
Put the parts on sweet as, bled it, checked it for leaks and the clutch pedal feels great. The problem I'm having is that the 'bite point' of the clutch is right up at the top of the pedal stroke. I've test driven my truck doing all the usual 'clutch slip test techniques' ( driving up hills in 5th, accelerating whilst braking at the same time etc.) and there appears to be no slip whatsoever
I am aware that there is no adjustment for these clutches as they 'self adjust' via a spring in the clutch slave. I am just stressing a bit that I've done something wrong. the only thing i can think of is that the clutch is worn down enough.. and the spring has self adjusted all it it can?
Is it new clutch time ???
any help would be great
thanks
Nik
