I know these patrols have a problem at the rear door making the light flicker, but mine doesnt flicker it just stays on, i have tried checking for power at all the switches but cant find any.. nor does the light go off when i earth out each door switch. as their is only 1 wire going to the switches apart from the drivers door are they on a continous circuit(like the old christmas tree lights) as if 1 goes wrond the whole circuit stuffs up?? im no wiring wizz and have no idea how to fix any help would be great

The switch earths the circuit, it only need one wire going to earth to make the light stay on. If you remove the mounting screw from the switch you have removed the earth point and removed this switch from the circuit. If you remove all switch screws and the light stil stays on the the fault is else where. I think there is a switch in the larger door lock mechanism? this may be the fault, cheers Phill.

thanx patrol man- yeah your right the large rear door does have wires going to the latch, i have tried removing it from the circuit it has 2 wires so i just looped a bit of wire from one terminal to the other eliminating the switch and the light still is on.. any ideas on where to look next??
