He means have a read through through the bible and do a search. It has been discussed a million times before. Ask away if you have any specific questions after that.

I think he missed something.
I think you will find it's harder to put hilux diffs under a zook than run chromoly axles and wheel spacers on zook diffs...

go the lux diffs if your capable to install them your self.
bigger better stronger cheaper wider and plenty of aftermarket stuff available!!
only downside is you will have to run a bigger tyre to get same diff clearence as stock diffs.
im installing a front lockrite in mine tomorrow, ill take a pic of the difference in the shafts and c.v.s

i've almost finshed the lux conversion on my zook... trust me, its a long, prick of a job. Theres more involved than what i first figuired, and the things i did know.. well i didnt think they would have taken this long!!! But you get heaps of benifits out of it.. i've only lost 15-20mm diff clearance, but have heaps more strength, heaps more articulation, better shocky set up, stronger shafts etc.

b4 you think of going bigger stronger diffs, what are you intentions??
what size tyre do you want to run,
what sort of driving do you do
how much money do you want or are prepared to spend
how much of the stuff can you do yourself
do you have a daily driver
what state do you live in
all these to some extent have to be taken note of b4 you bother going to a conversion of ANY sort

heres some piccys
This is it with the zook front end still under it..
This is the high steer, and the set up to move the spring perch to fit the zook's hangers.. all from low range off road
This is it nearly finished, still got shocks to mount etc..
With the cruiser off set rims, it is now 5 1/2 inchs wider than it was..

Well then put a 2 inch spring lift, 2 inch body lift, re-drill spring perches, bash the inner gaurds, fit your 32's on offset rims and get some form of rear locker. If you want to lock the front then get some chromo axles.
And then learn to drive it.

yeh well i got 3inch tg leafs with extended shackle and 2 inch bodylift but im gonna take the BL out and maybe get the speedy rims and wak some form of 32 on it with the springs and extended shackle would i hav much rubbing problem if i get the sppedy rims ... cheers

removing the body lift will make you tyres rub worse. And with 32's and no body lift you will get some major tyre fouling without some serious bump stop spacing which will limit you flex.

Well if 32's are you limit and you don't plan on going 36's or anything then I'd stay with zook axles and get a set of these if you want to run a front locker:-
Toyota axles do have their benefits but IMHO they don't come into play untill you want a much larger tyre than a 32"

if i did a bit of modifications to the guards would i be alright with 3 inch tg leafe and mi extended shackles or ill need the boddy lift with 32 would it be better toget a more common number like a 33 or a 31 or doesnt matter..

Suspension doesn't give you tyre clearance, not useable suspension anyhow. Just say you lift your truck 3 inches with suspension and you can fit 32" tyres whilst it sits flat and level with the wheels straight. Your bump stops are still the limit of axle up travel and without extending them and assuming your springs flex enough your wheeling will still end up as high into the wheel well as with stock suspension on flex. The body lift gets your gaurds 2 inches further from the wheel regardless of suspension. I am not saying 32" tyres are impossible without a body lift but I think you will need at least some serious guard modification and bump stop extensions. I can't tell you if your tyres will or will not fit as all tyres are different, I'd just buy the tyres you want and make them fit, but personally I'd be leaving the body lift in. In a zook the centre of gravity isn't affected so much by a BL due to the light weight of the body itself.
Simex ceterpedes are an oversize tyre, their 31X10.5X15 measures over 32" in diameter, they are what I plan to run.
