Don't let them fit an Impco 200 A, it's a neat fit so some installers do but its way to small. A 425 works well on them with minimal HP lost. Of course if you want to spend more there is always vapour injection. Steer clear of complex converter simple mixer setups as they tend to be less reliable and are more restrictive.

I agree totally, SVI is the only way to go for me, it is more expensive but if you were looking to keep the vehicle long term i think its worth spending more intitially. SVI (Sequential vapour injection) will cost in most cases 40% more than a complex setup. results have been proven very effective in regards to SVI. Complex does do the job on a budget but is unrelaible and harder to keep in tune. it has been dyno proven that the SVI setup has minimal power loss as apposed to complex.
:D

I own a 4.5l patrol on gas with 200 impco convertor 270,000km on gas, no power loss at all no problems with engine just check/adjust valve clearances every 20,000km. most cost effective way to go.

In yesterdays Herald Sun in Vic there was a story about an Italian setup that injects gas as a liquid and as it leaves the injector it cools in the incoming air creating a denser fuel air mix . Result more power. They argued that the system creates a 4.5 litre engine out of a 4 litre.

Don't know much about the system, but the article also stated that it does not require complicated electronic controls. Would seem to piggyback the existing EFI systems.

Any one got a copy of the article. Don't know the cost or the specs, just a passing glance at the paper whilst eating dough nuts. :D

Sorry but not possible. Pull the mixer off and put a straight tube in its place, go for a drive. You loose power on both petrol and gas due to the restriction so you are often not aware of the loss. I have numerous dyno sheets, there is at least a 10% drop in peak power with a 200A. A 200A causes a power loss on a 3.0L VL and thats the correct size engine for it, but only 4-5%.
I have retrofitted 425's in place of 200A's and typically get increases of 7-9% or about 8-10 rwkW with a notivable improvement from 2000 rpm and above.

So is the 200A too small for a 4.2 as well?
