Drowned Zook!

Hey guys,
I just got back from a 4x4 trip during which I drowned my 1997 coily hardtop. Thanks to a leaky airbox, my snorkel was in-effective!
We removed the sparkplugs and cleared all the water in the cylinders. Then we got the engine running which was down on power for awhile but soon warmed up and came back to normal.
The drivers side foot well filled with water so I scooped all the liquid out but it still has soaked carpet. I can also hear alot of water moving around in the body near the door line but not actually in the doors.
I also filled my headlights and driving lights with water.
My question to you all is this:
What steps do I have to take to A:get all the water out of the body, B: get all the water out of the carpet, C:make sure the engine is fine and waterless and D: get the water out of my headlights?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I love my zook and don't want to lose it to rust.
Cheers,
Wes.
