Troopy Speedo Cluster

Howdy all,

My speedo is playing up and most of the lights in my speedo cluster aren't working anymore, oh and the speedo needle has now snapped off too... So I decided to just replace the whole unit with another.

I've got a second hand one out of another troopy that's done 280,000kms. My troopy has actually done 390,000kms so I was wondering if for rego and all that I should be somehow winding it forward to the actual kms?

If thats the case, how do I best go about doing that?

I recently replaced the one in my 80 series with a brand spankers one from Toyota.

Going from 450,000 to 0 all I had to do was note down the change KM in the service manual.

It went through rego in April and as far as I remember, we told the pink slip dudes about it and they didn't even ask for the old reading. :?
