how many k's on a new td42ti b4 uping the boost

Post by uzdnabuzd »

Just wondering how many k's do you recon i should do on my new td42ti before i up the boost. I have done about 2000k's on the new motor. The first 500 was towing a 2.5 ton trailer up and down big hills loading it right up. The rest has just been around town and a few camping trips.
It has been run in on about 14-15psi max boost and i want to turn it up to 20psi.
(pump and turbo are done etc, etc)
So what do ya recon??
Is 2000 enough or should i at least wait until 5000 or should i wait till 10000 :?:

Cheers

thanks for the replys guys. I am not concerned about the amount of boost rather the fact that it may not be quite run in yet.

Thanks, I have had 15 psi on it from the start! Hope that is ok?
Does it go well with 23psi? Do you know, does your pump have a 12mm plunger in it? Or is it a tricked up gu one?
