Hi guys,

Just picked up my 4" ironman kit today. It came with castor bushes, brake line and 2 adj. Panhard as well.

If I fit them to my truck immediately, will it run ok at full travel?

Do I need to do extra things ? Bump stop.....

ARB Southern told me I need a Gear box packer kit for 4". What are they for? Do I really need them? What happen if I don't use it?

Thanks again

There is a couple of things to look at.
It depends on the length of the shocks. A lot of companies sell 3" lift shocks for 4" lifts. If this is so you won't have to worry about your shocks hitting the bump stop mount on the axle. It will also mean that your 3" lift shocks will have a short enough compressed length not to cause too many probs with bump stops.

Measure your shocks before you put them in and pm me and I will be able to tell you whether you need any mods or not.

On a 4" lift it is coming close to needing to adjust your rear diff pinion angle. Gearbox spacers is a step you can take to prevent having to spend the money on upper adjustable control arms.

I would fit the kit and see if you have vibrations. If you don't then you won't need gearbox spacers. If you have minor vibes then gearbox spacers may help. Bad vibrations and upper adjustable control arms would be the best solution.

4" lifts are not all created equal. The person who sold you the kit should have the answers specific to your kit.

PM me the rear shock lengths and compressed length before you fit it just in case you have longer shocks.
