Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Ive got an 84 3y singlecab hilux. i have recently blown the lefthand cv and axle, but havent got anotherone as yet, i was driving home from work on friday doin bout 100k's when i heard a rattleing sound , it sounds like a dry bearing when you spin one, so i thought ok then its a bearing in the gearbox or transfer is startin to go.

Then on saturday i got bogged in the backyard tryin to drive out of the backyard, so only havin 3wd i locked the driver side hub put it in low and in reverse and only
one rear tyre was spining as it is a single spinner in the arse but the front has a detroit e-z locker, yet the right hand front was not spinnin. i then drove it up some rocks today and the rhf tyre was spinning and grabing as it should do both in reverse and forward gears.
next i tried to reverse up the gutter in low 3wd but the rhr tyre was the only one spinning, the front was not doin anythin at all. i then drove forward about a meter and it started driving going forward, i then put it back into reverse and the rhf was driving in reverse. i find this very strange because there is no grinding of any sort. so if anyone has any info on this or has happened to someone, please let me know as any information will be greatly appreciated. cheers dylan
