td42 with new turbo and diesel gas

got my td42 slug and want to see if people have done an after market turbo and done diesel gas. and if this combination gets decent power and ecomomy. Any ups and downs about it?. I got a few mates that can get it done a bit cheaper want to know its good and worth while spending the dollars.
