Outer Limits 4x4 Board

firstly my old 60 seires jumps out og high rang gear every now and then , any ideads on that?

also at the rear of the gear box where there rear tail shaf bolts to seem to be leaking oil still, i have already replaced the oil seals twice any ideas???

Do you have a an equalising pressure line between the gearbox and transfer?

It is made up from brass 10mm bsp fittings and allows a transfer of fluid between box and transfer, the leak from the rear could be normal pressure build up on the new seals...............maybe.


my 2c

on your transfer top lhs there is a nut (19mm ?) rerove it and under the nut is a spring . strech the spring . this should fit your problems.
there is also another spring on the front output shaft housing. give it a strech to....

there is a ball bearing sitting under the springs . check the ball bearing for wear ...
