Dam Heavy Clutch in the Troopy! Any Ideas??

As above the clutch in my Troopy is very heavy and if Im having to be waiting at lights, giveways, etc for over 20sec I nearly have a full left leg Gym workout!
Anyone else come across this??

is it a factory or aftermarket clutch? did the heaviness suddenly appear or has it always been that way or did it develop over a period of days or weeks or months? this information is essential to diagnosing your problem.
the clutch should be either in or out - you should never hold it in while waiting at lights etc. that's what neutral is for.
