This is funny, surely the venerable TB42 is more useful than for powering Forklifts, Wood chippers, Ground support equipment, Construction equipment!!

Bore and stroke are the same. Standard TB42 will do 125kw (167hp) @4200rpm and 323Nm (238lbf.ft) @2800rpm, So the power is a little higher at higher rpm but the torque is pretty much spot on.

I sold a TB42 to a sawmill which has one running in a forklift. It replaced their old TB42 which had a cracked head <insert sarcastic comment>. I would have thought a TD42 diesel would have been a better choice for such machines for low down torque and fuel economy, but what do i know.

diesel forklifts are horrible things to have in a shed, cover everything in soot... I guess this explains why TB42's come from the factory with stellite valve bits and all the LPG friendly shiat, they are built for running in forklifts!

The newer Nissan forklifts now have TB45's, funny Toyota forklifts also run their own 4F engine, but every other of the 7 forklift makes I checked into for work runs the GM 4.2 V6. I was hoping we'd get a Nissan so I could do a weekend swaparoo
