L.S.D diff oil
was told by the local service centre to use L S D OIL IN the front diff and gearbox/transfer box ...does this sound right....
I thought it was the other way around. Friction modifiers allow the clutches to slip smoothly, rather than repeatedly slip and grip - which creates the "chatter" for which some LSDs are well known, such as the Holden/Isuzu LSD.mkpatrol wrote:It will be ok provided it is the right weight, more expensive though for no real advantage. LSD oil is formulated to prevent slippage in the LSD clutches.
