is it cheaper to get a new box or fix the old one ...............I assume you mean new as in used from wreckers.. prob be cheaper to fit a bearing kit.
I can pick up a carry van one will it fit .................. I didn't think Carry's came with 1.3's.(or is yours 1.0?) In any case the carry box has a lower first gear and Sierra 1st is low enough. I think the Carry tail housing is different too.
or will it be easyer to get parts from the states
and fix mine. ...................... importing the bits from lowrange is easy and would be my preferred option.

Carry 1.3 box wont fit.
No carry van box is a good idea, they are designed for an engine that lays over to one side, the gear shift and length of the box is different aswell as the mounting points aswell as the output shaft spline is different from my knowledge.
Ring your local bearing supplier and get a price on a kit to rebuild yours, there realy simple boxes to play with.
