After never owning one...ever, the thought has crossed my mind that i should invest in one for the new paj. Does it really make any difference? I mean for petrol engines? What ones are best to buy? Is there better quality than others?

No more power but a slight increase in induction noise which you soon get used to.
It's the water crossing protection thats most important with these things.

Hi Wolfe
since no one replied I assume the answer's no.
As another option,if you are trying to avoid water, you could have an alternate inlet from the aircleaner to inside the cab.which would be noisey but you can only hook it up for water.
I have done this in the past for Explorer's and Isuzu MU's as well as old rover's and 40 series before snorkles were available here.
