I've searched this forum and there is a fair bit of info on this topic. But i would like to know if anyone who's done this conversion has step by step pictures or even pictures of sorts to help us with this conversion if we decide to go ahead. Our plans are to get a complete skyline and use all nissan stuff. We are just wanting to go EFI for now, but if it fuel prices keep going up than we would probably go duel fuel.

in a gq or mq?

we have pretty much completed this conversion into a mq apart from starting it. we used the original VL drivers side eng mount and kept the origininal VL passenger mount with a small mod to make it longer. used the VL radiator and made some side supports using the mq mounts and put basically a half bit of angle for it to sit into at the bottom.

used the complete VL fusebox and complete engine and wiring loom, VL dash and fuel tank. kept the original mq combination switch on the column just had to source both detailed wiring diagrams too plug and play.

i have some photos on my camera so i can email them to you. where abouts in qld are you?

I'm about to do a similar swap to turbo EFI. I've got a few engines, i just plan on throwing a set of big ends, rings and a 3mm headgasket to lower compression, use a factory 5 speed ecu, orig GQ sump, all of my accesories (alternator, air con, power steer) off the current donk.

I'm going to come across a few hurdles, so will be keeping an eye on this thread
