can anyone tell me if a front diff from a gq or gu would come close to matching the width of a str d22 navara rear.

cheers mark

About 100mm difference with a D21 and I think D21 -D22 are the same. Just stick GQ rear in as well.

Get a V6 D22 rear diff and front diff to match the rear ratio. You will need 33's to bring the ratio's back to standard. The V6 runs the H233B as the rear diff and the front is the R200. Ratio's are 4.6

The QD32 powered D22 run's the same ratio's as the VG33E powered D22's. The front diff is the R180 aswell, same as the ZD30 powered D22.

Not sure on the ratio's of the TD27 models but it worth a look.

The ZD30 powered D22's run 4.375.

Good luck.

Dave.

wouldnt it be easier to buy a rolled gu 3 litre and throw a d22 cab and motor in it?

sas is hard to get away with up here especially with a wider front diff

ZD30 use the f5SW30A gearbox same as the V6 and 3.2lt diesel, the transfer is the kicker nav's have a TX10, trols have a TX12.
So i rekon the GU driveline will bolt in to the navara crossmember and engine mounts cause they share the same motor and gearbox
so really if you where into throwing spanners you could put a tx12 transfer in and a gu front axle in and be done with it

BTW i costed a wreckers axle at $2000 atm a SAS is cost prohibitive for me
but i rekon some time in the future i'll do it

have u boys checked out the calmini SAS kit at all??

i was considering looking into doing it to my nav aswell, but i think its just too expensive to bother doing.

at the moment my truck is relatively stock, so it will more then likely just be easier to sell it and buy something stock solid axled.

its a bit expensive and it uses a jeep diff that isnt all that common here.
