Hey All I've just got everything back together in my Zook, hooked the
engine wiring and hoses etc up and cranked her over and the Carby
is just filling with fuel. I have an electric pump running thru the existing
mech pump if that helps just need to know what could be causing this
and if anyone has a solution any help appreciated thanks in advance!

id say, because you have done the engine swap, it hasnt been run for a while?? in the process of swapping parts from one engine to the other the carb has been left upside down for an amount of time?? maybe, well almost definatly the NEEDLE AND SEAT inside the carb is stuck open and causing fuel to always flow, esspecially with the electric pump... or dirt, grass, whateva has gotten into the hose and blocked the seat open..
its an almost deffinate its something to do with the needle and seat inside the carb, id give it a good TAP with a small hammer around the fuel inlet pipe first to maybe shake it closed again, otherwise you will have to pull the top of the carb apart for further inspection

carby filling with fuel
Went out this morning to sort the problem an there was no problem after it had filled with fuel and sat over night it had released itself and now is working. I still need to put a kit thru the carby but she's a runner now11_evl wrote:id say, because you have done the engine swap, it hasnt been run for a while?? in the process of swapping parts from one engine to the other the carb has been left upside down for an amount of time?? maybe, well almost definatly the NEEDLE AND SEAT inside the carb is stuck open and causing fuel to always flow, esspecially with the electric pump... or dirt, grass, whateva has gotten into the hose and blocked the seat open..
