Cos generally cops don't get the latest rules. Get on the RTA site and have alook. No doubt you spend hours looking at outers and pron. So spend 5mins and look at there site.

EDIT: i spoke to the RTA and they checked up on it for me,
it was a national reccommendation in which NSW DID NOT take up, i cant say if other states did or didnt.
they also said that if they decide to take the reccommendations into effect then all affected will be notified.
hope this helps

well the guys who run the site do and the sticky right at the top of each section spells it out, maybe you should take the time to actually read it and pay a bit more attention to those stickies

cops know SFA about cars and yet there allowed to defect them, its wierd that they actually braught forward this reccommendation as engineer certs dont mean didaly sqwat and you can still be defected for something that is "engineered."

Yep, Cops know FA.
Cop shop told me i could be passenger for my brother on his L's in my first year of open licence. But when pulled up for RBT was informed this was wrong information and fines could have been handed out if the cop wanted.
The cop told me not to listen to the dickheads at the cop shop, WTF? so who are we supposed to listen to?
Also a mate with mod plates for Harnesses was told by an officer to wear the normal seatbelt after being pulled over for wearing Harness, Upon showing the offending officer the mod plate, he was told that the officer didnt know what the numbers on the mod plate meant, so the mate had to wear the normal seatbelt before the cop would let him drive off.
What is the F#*king point of spending the $$$ on getting engineered when cops make you wear the normal seatbelt after being pulled up anyway??
My B!tch for the night
Dean.
