Hey guys ive been trying the search thing, and have found some good info on converting my 89 swb carbi gq to injection. But cant find everything i need to know. So i bough't a complete fuel injection manilfold including injectors and loom. so i can unbolt my carbie manifold and bolt the new injection manifold on. I have the carbi dissy that has a petronix kit in it so im going to get the ice upgrade kit for it and use the petronix as the trigger only. I am also going to use aftermarket computer. So my questions are what other bits and pieces will i need and can someone recommoend a good computer.

thanks guys

andy

Can l ask why your changing it from carbi to EFI.....

Cause if looking for a power gain l would stick to carbi..

Not really for power, although you do pick up a bit (aparently). More the fact im sick and tired of the carbi needing to be tuned and crap getting sucked into it (ie mud and other stuff) also the auto choke is driving me insane. Im also upgrading the ignition and computer so their is some very good power and driveability gains to be had.

yeh with aftermarket computer should expect economy and power to increase :) will you need stuff like air flow meter. oxy sensor, throttle position sensor etc? not too familiar with tb42e's but they're couple of things i can think of with efi.

keen to hear how much better it runs :)

Autronic is a great computer but will set you back 2 grand plus sensors and tuning.
If you want power increse then you will need an efi cam as well. Cheapest way that works well in straight gas reaserch with good tune but then range is a problem.......
Good luck i think you need a turbo!!!!
