What the?

Just taken delivery of a new Cruiser ute for work. While bogged in the mud I realised that the front tracks wider than the back which makes the vehicle useless in many situations off road.
Has anyone else had this problem or did Mr. Slope fit the wrong diff?

Front track is wider than back, go figure.
Apparently they had a heap of diffs to get rid of and the rear of the cruiser was a good place to dump them.

may not be the case mate, instead of redoing the rear diff they used the same as the old ones, but the new ones up front have to be wider coss the chassie is so they can fit the new V8s

There's a place up in Mackay that makes spacers for them, but it reduces the load carrying capacity of the vehicle. Sounds like a pretty fricken stupid issue to have in a new vehicle these days. There's also blokes making new alternator guards & turbo shrouds to stop water damage. A whole new aftermarket industry developing - fixing Toyota's mistakes. Don't even mention the 200 series......
