Whats it worth? (GQ diesel with mods)

I'm contemplating selling my GQ as the missus wants something newer and more comfortable. Not really sure what its worth, any ideas?
1989 Ford Maverick
4.2 diesel
302,000 km's
body in good condition, no rust (other than rear window frames) and only very minimal 4wding scars
Mechanically excellent: new clutch, starter motor, alternator, full wheel/swivel hub overhaul with all new seals and bearings, new uni's on rear tailshaft, brand new radiator and thermostat.
Regularly serviced and very well maintained. 100% reliable and runs fantastically.
ARB winchbar with new highmount winch inc in cab switching
ARB sidesteps and rails
(all above only 8 months old)
Safari snorkel
custom steel rear bar with integrated towbar + rear quarter chop
33" MTR's
OME 4" suspension lift with caster correction
Superior engineering adjustable panhards and lower rear control arms
Uniden UHF radio
NEW ARB compressor with 2 airtanks and truck airhorns
Dual battery system with 2x nearly new supercharge batteries
GU front seats
ALL mods have been professionally fitted in the last 2 years and the high mount has only been used 2 or 3 times!
Will probably sell with RWC, and possibly 12 months rego as its almost due.
Also do the RWC people care about the 4" lift and other mods? Will I need to put it back to standard for the rwc?

Hey Bruce.
I have more than enough standard suspension I could put in it
I've been trying to look around to see what they are worth but I'm still unsure whether to pull the winch and suspension off and sell them seperately.
Bubs doing great - she's half the reason to upgrade (something a little safer) plus I just never get the time to go 4wding enough.
Thinking of setting up a tourer and building a camper trailer to see a bit more of the country. May go for a GU or NM/NP Pajero.

I highly recommend removing suspension and selling it cheap

and compressor and air tanks

:P:P
Winch and winchbar would sell piss easy I'd say... just where ya sell it.
As for whats it worth, I'd say round $8-10k. No doubt as usual someone will pipe up and say they bought the same recently for $1500 or omething stupid like that.
The issue is GU's are droppin a fair wack recently with juice costs.
Good news on bubs

:) Will give ya a call n drop round for coffee soon

it's definatly not a sellers market when it comes to big cars with big engines.
find the right person and considering the age maybe 6 to 9k
as for roadworthy stuff. if it where in QLD i'd knock it back on the tyres and the lift.

You would knock it back with 33's the lift I understand (not realy but excable) the patrol came standard with 32's in the 16 inch rims I was under the impersion you could go 2 inches high than whats plated on the car in qld. So I'm told

No, 15mm bigger in Qld is all that's allowable.
As for the GQ, I'd say in the current market around 6-8k if its pretty clean for its age. I would personally remove the hi-mount and sell separately as they bring good $$ but leave the suspension as you won't get that much for it. GU's certainly do offer a bit more comfort than the old GQ but then again the Pajero's make a very comfy tourer as well if your not planning to do too much offroad.

Its definatly not a sellers market even for diesel gq's any more, they are big n relatively thirsty, getting old and gu's are worth stuff all now.
I had alot more mods/ accesories on mine and i just sold if for about 6k less than it would have sold for a year ago. sad considering they dont sell for that much more than 6k

The only GU's worth owning are the 4.2 turbo diesel - these start at around $27000 for something under 300,000km. You'd be crazy to buy a 3.0 grenade motor and the petrols are so thirsty its crazy.
There is $1600 of Superior Engineering chromoly and mecavel links and rods under this, not to mention the $1500+ of Old Man Emu stuff. All about 18 months old.
I have the majority of the standard stuff so I may sell the suspension and winch seperately. The vehicle itself is in really good nick for its age.
The 33's will go through a rwc in vic, the only thing I'd need to do is perhaps put a bit of weight n the back as it sits quite high otherwise.

you can go plus 2 in RIM size so long as the rolling diameter stays the same.
