I'm thinking of running one of these to keep the mud out. What are they like. Little bro fitted one last week and said they are a prick to bleed.
any ideas?

IIRC a mechanic mate of mine told me internal slave's come standard in some SS dunnydores! Can't comment on how easy or hard they are to bleed but it must be doable!

Some Euro cars have them fitted, Like Saab and Volvo.
They are a common conversion for off road transaxles to change over the fork type arrangement to these type.

Newer comodors and falcons have them i can tell you if you have a adjustable pressure plate like the ford and holden that when bled if not done properly can make you have to pull the gear box out again and restet the clutch but i can say that i have only seen one fail. there good on normal clutches

The 6 speed zf gearboxes fitted to late model commies and I assume Falcons run internal slaves and while they are a pain to bleed could be a solution.
Many guys have come up with extensions which can be inserted and allow the slaves to be bled externally. Was going to do it with my old M6 VT. Try doing a quick search on the LS1 forums perhaps for bleeding solutions if you do go down this track.

There not ZF boxes there T56's and people always say there hard to bleed and fit extensions on them when all you need is a long 11mm (i think 11mm, its been a while) socket in 1/4 drive, takes 1 min to get it happening even on the commy.
