Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I got myself the 35's but the only problem is that i bought them with only 3 sunnys on them with some huge ass offset. So, what i might do is use my wheels that are on my ute now, they are 8" wide but will they fit these 35"X12.5" tyres ok? or am I better off useing the wheels with the big offset and getting another wheel made up with the same offset?

As gypsy indicated, they do fit, but I think the "bible" says you need a minimum of 8.5" wide to be legal - so you may find a lot of tyre places won't fit it for you.

If it's for a competition vehicle, just take the rim in and ask them to fit the tyre - if they're not putting the combination onto a road-registered vehicle they shouldn't have anything to complain about.

I run 35x12.5x15 ET2's offroad with 15psi in them and have not had an issue in the few months I have been running them, tho supose only time will tell.

Everyone runs them on 8" rims, dont think anyone makes 8.5" rims unless you go custom. Some people run them on 10" rim , but most people find 8" is better for off road.
I've never had a problem with a tyre dealer fitting to a 8" rim.

I run 35x11.5 simexes on 15x8" rims no probs. Used to run 33x12.5 sumi's on same rims, never had a problem. My mate was running 35x11.5 simexes on 16x10" rims and kept breaking beads.

I can't imagine too many tyre joints giving two phux whether they're RW or not. The only one i've heard of is my brother had to sign a waiver before ARB Southern would let him drive out of workshop with JT2's fitted.

try running bias claws on 8" rims did that for a while before i went to beadlocks, 35x13.5x15

Been running 35x12.5 on 8" rims for years. So does everyone else I know. As was said above 10" can cause breaking bead issues with lower pressures. Also 10" rims can cause excessive bearing wear, so most say 8" rims are better.

i ran 33x12.5 on 10" rims on my patrol for the entire time i had it, and i had no probs with bearings. the same rims will go on my surf when i get new tyres for them.....

everyone who is wrong might know that...

the 10's have more offset from memory,more rolling weight futher out from the hub, thus more presure on wheelbearings. weather it becomes a prop comes down to maintance

Correct... esp a prob on GQs and Mqs with the small closely spaced wheel bearings.
