Hey mate. I have been looking in to running 36" extreem Trecker 2's full time same as you, bitchie during the week and offroad on the weekends. I have asked allot people fellow 4wheel drivers 4wd shops and tyre joints. I have done the research and was told you may get 15,000 - 30,000kms out of them doing full rotations and balancing them all the time. Plus one thing to consider is that they are noisy as, and when in the sun parked up in car park the tyre's warm up and get a flat spot. I have a mate that runs them on the road going out to bush, and he says takes about 5k's to run them round again, you could imagine how they would drive. Don't get me wrong excellent off road tyre, not every day use. I looked in to every agressive tyre their is wanting at least 30,000km use out of a tyre, no good. Won't happen in a Bias tyre. I looked into this for weeks, finally choosing 35" x 12.5 x 15 Mickey Thompson Radial Baja Claws. They have a three ply side wall, strong and run awesome off road and great on the road. Hope this helps.

Thank mate!

Yeh it might be a bit pricey running them constantly considering i do 5000kms a month, so thats new tyres every 3-6 months. Might have to get a set of cheap roadies for the week days. Thank F&^* for rattle guns!!!

i bought a set of et2 at the start of this year, big cash, so i dont have the balls to road them, then again, i have always had a small set of at's for road use.

and the flat spot, it could take up to 30mins to get them round.

yea, that would work.
To me it seems the more people dislike what the Gov suggests, the more they are determined to go witht it.

Yet many people voted for the GST...

The government do what ever the F^&* they like!

It was a joke! (parliment house) but would be fun

My opinion, (not that it matters  )

I think everyone that owns a 4x4 of any sort should have to be in a club/forum, and use it off road at least 6 times a year which has to be documented.

That will get rid of the people that buy one to drive there kids to school, use it for the shopping and just for looks! That would have its benefits... More people doing what we love, cheeper mods/parts (due to the laws of economics)(doesn't work with the price of fuel though???), better for the environment (people that use it to sit in traffic and never use it off road), less injurys for kids (soccer/school mums/dads that cant see over the bonnet and never use it off road), ect...
My point is if you learn how to drive it off road you become a better driver on road and you know how your 4x4 handles better, making you a safer driver. Safer drivers (using their 4wd for there intended purpose) meaning laws on moderfications should be less strict.

Makes sense to me...

Anyway if you mod your 4x4 for looks and never use it 4x4n, YOUR A TOOL!!!

Thats my 2 cents
