Moved :D

It is I had it on mine when it had a 253 I used the holden pump with a custom made bracket & hoses to the lux power steering unit.

Sorry cannot show pics as its all out now.

If it's and IFS Lux you can bracket the toyo p/steer pump to the motor with a custom pulley then just use the standard power steering lines.

Only real cost is getting the pulley turned from a pulley blank.

Fair enough, if I was doing it I would fit up the standard Toyo p/steer box and mount the Toyo p/steer pump that goes with it to the 253.

At least then the pump and box are matched and meant to work together.

I did this on my 4 Runner (IFS) and the standard Toyo p/steer lines fit well.

If the p/steer pump is like mine then you will need to get a modified pulley as I mentioned earlier to align with the 253 balancer pulley.

For off spec power steer lines you can use rubber hose and good hose clamps for the return line and will need to get someone like Pirtek to make up a new pressure line from the pump to the box.

I just used the standard holden mount for the holden pump. Modified the
holden mount holes a bit to clear the battery. Got some fittings from the
hydralic shop (there not Cheap!) to fit to toyota box. Seems to work fine.

i just cut the holden pump bracket and lifted it up 1-2", stick it together again. Custom lines made from the std lux and holden ones, about $100 (most hydrolic joints will do it 4 u).

job done!

Cashy, this is the standard EFI 304 p/steer bracket modified to take the Toyota p/steer pump. The Holden p/steer pump would have been more difficult to mount IMO. Photos aren't real good because it's tight in the engine bay, but the pump has plenty of clearence to everything and the standard Toyota p/steer lines hooked straight up with no mod's. I have a drawing of the pulley and it cost me $68.00 to get made in bayswater. This is in a 4Runner so would probably fit the same in a Hi Lux.

I am in Ferntree Gully so pm if you want to do a deal on me supplying one of these brackets.
