POTENTIAL PAJERO

I`m thnking about getting a diesel pajero to use for towing and daily driver and was considering something about 2002 vintage .
i`ve had nissans for years but know jack about pajero`s except that the 3.2 diesel is supposedly a great engine
Can anyone tell me wht to look for ? what rates ?what breaks ?
tru econmy figures, this thing will be used for towin a horse float and
a bike trailer into the scrub with the occasional hill thrown at it for some fun .
looking at about 25 grand and something like a glx without too much electric crap on it and lowish k`s under 150000
