gu srings in gq

i'v heard if you put gu 2" springs in a gq you'll get a 3" lift out of it is that true? any proof?

isnt it the other way around? I just put second hand 2" OME springs from a gq wagon into my GU ute, heavier accessories front and back than the donor, and its sitting slightly higher

sorry general is right, i have a 3" toughdog kit out of a gu in my gq and its more like a larger 2" kit

Sorry General is not right.
GQ's are lighter than GU's.
A GQ 2" kit for a bar and winch will only give you a 2" lift on a GU with a light bar.
The free height of the springs are the same. The shock travel is the same. The GU is heavier!

i was always led to believe the gu was the lighter one ...
