I have the chance to get my hands on the below spec Koni 88 series shocks for a reasonable price. They are eye to eye and will be mainly to suit a GU/GQ, they probably need the bottom bush and may require revalving which can be done locally.

They would be suited for a 4-5" lifted vehicles and may be ok for different applications other than Patrols.

88-1457-SP1

Extended
29.53

Compressed
17.91

Travel
11.61

Cost works out at approx $390 a pair.

Let me know your thoughts.

I have been quoted $100 - $150 ea for re valving. But cant say for sure if it will be required.

The measurements are 750mm middle of eye to middle of eye.

I recently bought the 90-series Koni's but also got a quote on the 88-series - $500/pair front (88-1686) & $480/pair rear (88-1687). That's brand new so you might be better off buying new than paying $390/pair then $100 each to re-valve ($590/pair total).

These were only for 2" lift though, but if you want to price the model you are looking for I would give Ben at Outlaw Speed Equipment in Adelaide a call on 08 8231 6899. They gave far better prices on Koni products than anyone else I got quotes from.

P.S. - I have no interest in this company, just a happy customer.

Prices quoted to me were delivered to my door. Still can't figure out how they were cheaper than the local distributors, but they were!!

Thanks for the recommendation.

They will supply the same shock for $450 pair, not worth my hassle to source them from elsewhere.

Also said the valving will be fine for the GU. No warranty though due to length.

They seem to be a good mob to deal with. Keen to do business. Not like some of the Victorian Koni outlets who had a take-it-or-p*ss off attitude. So I did p*ss off and bought from someone else who wanted to do business. :?

Sounds like a good deal. Are the eyes the correct size for Patrols.
