660cc sierras are 3 cylinder and auto or manual, but they're narrow track.
There's no way a $49 CV is stock quality. I'd vote they're made from butter. or marshmallow.
Do you want to put something in there for the sake of it or a known quantity? A new CV from suzuki is about $500, similar as a new CV from any manufacturer.
CV's are about $150 each from a wrecker.
Doubletoughs (or equivalent) are $500-$700 a set. (but need a rear diff in the front)
Steve.

since when did a CV go and not take out the splines on the inner axle?
I guess it's possible, but normally I've seen the cage go and smash up the splines on the inner axle.
Might be worth a try I guess, but if CV breakage is a problem, these aren't the answer. Good if you've got heavily worn CV's and smallish tyres though.

When I did my first (& only CV) I pulled the drivers side out thinking that was the broken one and found it was cracked but still intact, so I replaced it with an Ebay item.Gwagensteve wrote:since when did a CV go and not take out the splines on the inner axle?

When I pulled the passengers side I found a smashed CV and a stripped spline on the axle... I bought a whole front diff for the axle and it had a cracked CV too.
So I fitted another Ebay item.
I have 33x10.5 MT117 extremes (measure 31.5") and a rear spool (front locker tomorrow) and haven't had a problem.
I willl as soon as finances permit, order a pair of Crmo axles and the bits to upgrade the ARB.
Jas.
I'll give you front axles and cvs for both sides for 200 bucks. They came out of my WT sierra when I put in the double toughs. THey are in perfect condition. I want them gone. I work in preston so if you can get over from Elthan during the day you can pick them up. Let me know.

rockit, I'm in eltham and can have a look at the car one night and give you an opinion, but if it's a built up car, you're going to struggle with stock CV's.
The one that was in it broke for a reason. Ifit's a big car with a front locker, It will chew CV's.
PM me if you want an opinion.
