RAMSEY WINCHES

Post by fatassgq »

Anyone have any experience with these?
Are they any good/bad?

Can you set them up with a switch in the cab just like the warns? So no bastard can fuck with it?

The one I am speaking of is a platinum I think. Has the control box as one unit above the drum.

They take a fair bit of cable I know that! Other wise no nothing of them.

Father in law has had one for years and it has been given a hard time and is still working fine. it's on an 80 series and it is usually loaded when winching.

Got a mate that had one, was POS.

Been used a bit over 12 months but then died as motor was farked from water in it. I`ve had my warn for 6 years now and it has never been touched and has been in mud and water 1000000000000000000 of times and has done lots of work now, it even still has the origanal cable on it.

father inlaw must be lucky. His mate bought one at the same time and it was on a tilt tray tow truck and it was still going after 8 years with no drama also. Thats the it goes i guess.
