G'day,
I'm looking for some decent Inclinometer's, they are like the guages in a 60/70 series cruiser on the dash and let you know if your likely to fall over.
Anyone know where I can get some after market ones that look reasonable ? i've tried Pro Comp, ARB and TJM and they cant help.
cheers

dont waste your money with one. you kinda know when your car is on a bad angle or not.

with so many other variables involved in making a car roll (or not roll), i'd sugest spending the money on something useful.

They are just there for 'looks'. They don't tell you when you'll roll over. Impresses the passengers basically.

tie a peice of string to the roof between the front seats.
If it hangs straight down, all is OK.
If it hits the driver then you have put the car on it's side.
If it hits the passenger you have put the car onthe other side.
If it hits the windscreen you have nosed dived the 4by.
If it coils up on the roof you are upside down.
If the string is wet then you have drowned the 4by.
How long do you make the peice of string?
Well, how long is a peice of string?

Sorry if I wasnt clear, you've all missed the point. They are not for my car, and I dont want any second hand stuff.
They are for a run of customer trucks hence why i'm looking for newies and they have become a requirement of this particular vehicle spec for risk assessment reasons.
cheers

Although I wouldn't go out of my way to install one, I do look at mine (sometimes) and I have appreciated that it's there.
I've read, (and have confirmed
), that a Paj is stable at 35 degrees. I know that I
feel really uncomfortable at 20 degrees, but I don't need to worry. And, on one occasion, I looked at my meter, kicked my passengers out, and requested a (brave) friend hang on the side of my vehicle while I drove out of a nasty position.
Laugh at them if you like, but I'm happy to keep mine.

From "left field" saw a digital angle gauge at Bunnings today - about $35 ....
Looks like a tape measure but reads degrees.

If string is covered in sand, you mounted it to a surf.
