1KZ-TE Dump pipe

I have a problem.
as part of my engine conversion, ive found that the factory dump pipe on the 1KZ-TE i have sits out too far from the block, and is going to foul the brakes on the chassis. I want to bring it in a fair bit so it sits in between the chassis and the engine with a new dump pipe.
So far ive found one from a mob called engtek, but i dont know whether its going to do what i want it to do.
Anyone know of a dump pipe to suit a 1KZ-TE that hugs the block?

No. They usually try to keep exhaust away from the block.
Have you spoken to and exhaust shop??
They will make custom to your needs.
To easy.

Yeah, i'll wander down to the shop im going to get the exhaust done at tomorrow and have a word with them- going for a 3" stainless mandrel system all the way, so a bit extra for a custom dump pipe wont hurt
Better take some other photos tho!

3" mandrel does wonders form the 1KZ-TE. 15% more go.
But why the stainless??
Waste of money in my mind. And who did you kill to affford it?

Beaudesert Exhausts in Qld make custom dump pipes (I know they make them for CT-26's on 60 series...) might be worth contacting them and see if they can do anything or have ever done one....

Sounds like a bargain!
Don't forget that stainless isn't "rust proof" or "break proof" and is expensive to repair..
But good luck, I'm watching with interest as I need to upgrade my standard pipes!

This was Hand made.
It really wakes up the 1kz.
No dump pipe of the shelf were available at the time.

well, if i drop my truck off to them with nothing on the bac of the turbo but the six studs, they will make a custom dump pipe that fits between the chassis and engine, with a 3" mandrel bent exhaust, flexible bellows and a free flow muffler to keep it below the noise limits, and i'll get change from $1000.
Thats all in mild steel- Stainless was another $900.
The custom dump pipe was $250 on its own!

I collected my dump pipe yesterday, it is for a 60 series with a 12HT, made by Beaudesert exhausts. It cost me $260.00, which I think is a bargain when you look at the craftmanship.
Nice flowing bend rather than the sharp angle of the factory pipe
A real 3" outlet, factory is approx 2.5", also has gasket and flange to weld onto exhaust supplied
12mm thick flange to bold up to the turbo, thats not going to warp!
And also comes with a port to thread a EGT sensor into.
I know where I would be getting my dump pipe from, and no, I have no association with Beaudesert exhausts at all, I actually ordered it through my local 4x4 shop (NQ 4X4 and crash) up here in Cairns, I did tell them where to get it from though.
