Ford alternator

hi all i have done the ford alternator conversion to my sierra, and it is all in but before i hook it up i was wondering which wire goes to with pin? i dont wanna f#@% up and cook it after grinding it down and swapping pulleys(which is a royal pita)

It won't do any harm if you don't get them right first go.
Just hook it up and start it ... if the alt light goes outy you got it right.
If the light doesn't go out then swap the two wires around.
On mine the black wire with white trace hooks onto the pin closest to the main power wire.

gday another question the new alternator is in and charging but even if i unplug the plug the battery light wont come on now, what do those 2 wires do?

one is ig+, and pulls in the alternator. the other is normally marked L and does to the charge light.
