what is the correct procedure for inserting the brass feral into the air line. I have two olives, one ferrel and one nut.

i have done so far

1. nut on first
2. olive on second
3. insert feral
4. try to pull olive over the feral and damaged the air line

2nd attempt

1. nut on first
2. olive on but only 7-8mm back from end of line
3 attempt to install ferral but it will only go in as far as the olive and wont fit inside it.


Ive done it before but i cant get it this time no-one i could find has any heavy duty line kits either but that would be my prefered fix for this arsehole of a problem

You should be able to get the ferrule into the line with the olive over the line.

Have you tried warming the line up a bit? Maybe it's a bit cold and therefore not pliant enough.

Heh, side note I have a bad habit of calling those olives "acorns" or "almonds". Don't ask me wtf is wired wrong in my head but that's what comes out when I try to think of the name

yep, i have warmed it up. I thought i had the process right and you have confirmed that (hopefully - acorn boy knows what hes on about...)

I have been given two olives (I bought a repair kit as i damaged the originals as they were sitting too long) the two olives appear to be for different air line sizes, should there also be two different ferral sizes as i only recieved one of them.....

don't forget on the early systems there are two sizes of ferrules. the larger one goes on the blue line. 170108 is the early system.
