Ball Joints & Wheel Bearings

Hi everyone :)

Looks like I'll be needing new ball joints for roza and doing a bit of research on prices. Found a thread saying that they cost $200 for upper and $190 for lower!!!

Is this still the going rate for brand new ball joints? I called up the local Daihatsu wreckers and they said they've got some 2nd hand ones for $55/upper and $35/lower. Is it worth getting 2nd hand ball joints?

I'll also be getting my front wheel bearings replaced, what sort of price should I expect (including labour).

PS. Anyone still have a copy of the Daihatsu Microcat?

If you decide to go new, try him. For smallish items I'm pretty sure he can freight anywhere in Oz.

Nigel from Ripperdeals.com just got back to me on prices.

Ball joints are $85.25/each or $70.40/each if you order two or more :)
Shipping is also inluded in the price.

Prices are pretty good considering 2nd hand ball joints from wreckers is $55/each.

Thanks for the shameless plug Rocky :)

If you want genuine Daihatsu ball joints then $200 ish is about right.

The ones I sell have a 3 Year or 100,000km replacement warranty if they're fitted by a licenced mechanic.

Give me a yell if you think I can help with anything else. I'll do what I can.
